obama’s opportunity
I suspect he seizes it, which isn’t to dismiss the impact of his pastor’s statements. There’s no defending them — Obama shouldn’t try, nor should he deny having ever heard them. He should speak directly about race in America and how his candidacy figures into the conversation. Boldness will serve him well.
