Further confirmation the next GOP nominee is a moron

(Whoops — originally published in October)

If Rick Perry is going to cast doubt about the authenticity of Barack Obama’s birth certificate then I think it’s fair to question his story about the racist rock on his family’s hunting camp. Although there’s irrefutable evidence Obama was born in the U.S. no such proof exists that Perry’s family was all that troubled by N—–head.

In his spare time Perry likes to shoot at invisible conspiracies

You don’t believe what’s been released?
I don’t know. I had dinner with Donald Trump the other night.

And?
That came up.

And he said?
He doesn’t think it’s real.

And you said?
I don’t have any idea. It doesn’t matter. He’s the President of the United States. He’s elected. It’s a distractive issue.

Distractive?!? What are they teaching down there in Texas? Oh, right.

You know what scares me? I think Perry is going to be the Republican nominee. With Herman Cain certain to implode, Perry will emerge as the most credible alternative to Romney (and that’s an indictment of the GOP field, not an endorsement of The Ricker). Talk radio and the Christian right will coalesce behind him. He’s also raised a ton of money. And, in case you haven’t noticed, The Anchorman doesn’t wear well.

Remember, I predicted Obama would win the 2008 Democratic nomination nearly nine months before that year’s Iowa caucus. I hope I’m wrong this time.

  1. Seemingly he doesn’t want the nomination….. He debates terribly and now brings up the birther movement. This will not win a national ticket.
