And so it goes in Venezuela

Alert propaganda minister Oliver Stone:

Last week two Venezuelans, a 35-year old woman and a 41-year old man, were charged with making statements on Twitter critical of Venezuela’s banking system and face up to 11 years in prison, according to Reporters Without Borders. Fifteen more Internet users may face similar charges in the coming days.

  1. Sean Penn and Oliver Stone are wannabe dictators and the worst kind of useful idiot — artists willing to support regimes who censor other artists.

  2. Chavez’ incompetence may be his undoing. Venezuelan crude is very heavy and very expensive to refine, and he has pumped no money into infrastructure. Oil production in Venezuela has been dropping for four (4) years now, and they have rolling blackouts all over the country.

I trust that when Venezuela’s economy comes grinding to a complete halt, there will be no more money to prop up the likes of Castro, Correa and Ortega.
