larry king, hyperbole’s best friend

“You’re not only a credit to sportscasting, you’re a credit to humanity.”

King, on 6/22, to CBS automaton Jim “Mitt” Nantz.

Gross exaggeration is nothing new for the CNN gasbag (literally) and veteran quote whore:

“The Pink Panther” – Flat out hilarious. Steve Martin is incredible. Somewhere Peter Sellers is laughing out loud.

“You, Me and Dupree” – Fun and very funny! Owen Wilson has to be one of the greatest comedic actors of all time. Kate Hudson and Michael Douglas are outstanding.

“All the King’s Men” – All the King’s Men is a masterpiece. A magnificent cast. Sean Penn gives the performance of a lifetime.
