The home of the Masters is a shrine to a time when rich Southern white men did whatever they wanted, no questions asked. Of course Augusta National’s refusal to allow women members is archaic but I’m not going to get worked up about it.
As causes go, fighting for the right of rich white women to golf in Augusta ranks well below my effort to get Piers Morgan deported.
Ha! Couldn’t agree more about the Masters (not necessarily Piers, however). This type of post is exactly why I enjoy this blog!
Augusta National was actually founded mostly by rich white men from New Yorrk City.
