A compelling tale of sexual harassment by a non-anonymous source begs more than an insulting campaign pitch:

“Activist celebrity lawyer Gloria Allred is bringing forth more false accusations against the character of Republican front-runner Herman Cain,” the statement said. “All allegations of harassment against Mr. Cain are completely false. Mr. Cain has never harassed anyone. Fortunately the American people will not allow Mr. Cain’s bold ’9-9-9 Plan’, clear foreign policy vision and plans for energy independence to be overshadowed by these bogus attacks.”
Translated: You should only ask me questions I want to answer, which mirrors what he said Saturday night when reporters asked about the multiple allegations against him.
“Where’s my chief of staff? Please send him the journalistic code of ethics,” Cain added when pressed to comment on the harassment allegations.
Cain continued to blast the media’s coverage of the allegations.
“If I were running this campaign the way the pundits thought I ought to be running this campaign, I would have dropped out in August,” said Cain to reporters.
Cain is starting to sound like former Nevada senatorial nominee Sharron Angle, the dangerously deluded church lady who couldn’t even beat Harry Reid.
Maybe it’s me, but I’d want to clear my name if someone was lying about my conduct. If Sharon Bialek is making this up, sue her for defamation of character.
Or just let Fox do it for you. Bill O’Reilly didn’t even talk about today’s accusations, but he did have a segment about the media’s “obsession” with the Cain story. Sean Hannity hasn’t ignored it, he’s named it: “Anatomy of a Smear Campaign.” Dick Morris said the accuser is obviously lying because she hasn’t held a job for 13 years.
“The only advance she wants is a cash advance,” said the toe-sucking slimeball.
