2011 predictions: A Huck-ster shall lead them

While the idea of a Baptist minister in the White House makes me nervous, I sort of like Mike Huckabee. He’s not a perpetually pissed-off phony and he appears willing and able to converse with those who don’t share his world view.

But that’s not why I think he’ll emerge as the GOP favorite by year’s end. Huckabee will lead the pack because he’s someone the establishment and the tea party crowd can live with. No way Mitt Romney (Zelig) or Sarah Palin (Forrest Gump) bridge that divide.

Again, this is a prediction, not an endorsement.

FYI, I picked Obama to win — April 25, 2007.

This is why you don’t invite idiot celebs to discuss health issues

If only there was a vaccination to combat idiocy

A now-retracted British study that linked autism to childhood vaccines was an “elaborate fraud” that has done long-lasting damage to public health, a leading medical publication reported Wednesday.

The fraud has been perpetrated countless times by pin-up Jenny McCarthy (who refuses to back down) and swallowed by a conspiratorially minded public that believes everything is up for debate — even medical science.
