Christmas

The seasonal version of ‘I Feel Good’

I must’ve heard Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker Suite” two dozen times yesterday. It’s in the trailer for virtually every holiday movie, much like Joe Cocker’s “I Feel Good” warned us that a lame Robin Williams comedy was about to be released. The Russian’s composition is also used to promote “very special” holiday episodes of dumb sitcoms you’ve never watched, as well as Christmas bargains at the various megalomarts.

Only three more weeks until it’s over — ’til it begins anew next Thanksgiving.
