The Republican candidates for governor are either bigots or willing to pretend they are bigots just to win their party’s nomination. According to them the worst problems facing our state are gay marriage, gun control and taxpayer-funded abortions.

Less than 12 hours after Sarah Palin endorsed former secretary of state Karen Handel, the Republican campaign for governor kicked into high gear.

Former congressman Nathan Deal and former state senator Eric Johnson of Savannah both blistered Handel with accusations that she was gay friendly and loose with the truth.

Former Al Gore delegate John Oxendine also chimed in with this charming ad:

Even if you support these clowns and cowards, you have to admit the Stepford-like quality of their ads is getting a bit spooky.
