John Smoltz, an enthusiastic backer of Boy Asshole Ralph Reed, is being talked up as a potential replacement for retiring U.S. congressman John Linder. I was a huge fan of Smoltz, the pitcher, but people who’d know have unflattering things to say about him off the field.
UPDATE: Smoltz says he’s not interested, but Jack Abramoff’s former BFF (Reed) has voiced interest.
