worse than i thought

The other day I wrote about the sorry crop of movies headed our way in 2010. Little did I know.

In addition to the unnecessary sequels already listed, add “Jackass 3D,” “Little Fockers,” “Predators” and “Saw VII.” There’s also a “Tron” sequel — 28 years after the original.

More crappy remakes, too: “Footloose,” “Red Dawn” and “The Wolfman” (which presumably is not a remake of the disastrous Jack Nicholson remake, “Wolf”). And from TV land comes the “A-Team” movie, minus Mr. T. Someone named Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be playing B.A. Baracus on the big screen. As a friend of mine quipped, “I pity the fool who has to sit through that shit.”

This year’s “original” releases include Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan as mismatched partners in the cleverly titled “Cop Out,” which sounds almost as bad as “Grown Ups,” starring Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, David Spade and an obviously desperate Chris Rock.

I’d rather watch Mr. T sing about self-esteem.
