According to an NBC/Wall Street Journal poll, “Forty-five percent think the reform proposals would allow the government to make decisions about when to stop providing medical care for the elderly.”
The provision in the House legislation that critics have seized on — raising the specter of “death panels” or euthanasia — would simply allow Medicare to pay doctors for end-of-life counseling, if the patient wishes.
Score another victory for the fear mongers (Sarah Palin, et al).
Obama and his progressive movement have many similarities to the National Socialist Party of Germany.
For starters – Attack and publicly blame one group for each respective country’s problems – Obama the “rich” and conservatives. Nazi’s – Jews.
Nationalize most industries – Obama has taken two car companies, a few insurance companies and banks and is trying to nationalize health care next.
Both movements are / were avid abortionist
I don’t have time to go on, but the comparison is valid to see similarities in both movements.
So now conservatives feel as victimized as the Jews? All the bluster overlooks the fact that THERE ARE NO DEATH PANELS. Nazis were conspiratorial and prone to hyperbole, as I recall. Hmmm….
Remove the huge Nazi X factor and their are some similarities in their beliefs. Most closely is neither movement supports economic liberty and both believe in the power of the state.
I do think there are some progressives that wouldn’t mind seeing a containment camp for conservatives – you ever read some of the posts on the Huffington Post or Daily Kos?
Let me see if I can give this a go.
G.W. Bush and his regressive movement have many similarities to Pol Pot’s Khmer Rouge party of Cambodia.
For starters – Attack and publicly blame one group for each respective country’s problems – G.W. Bush/Republicans the intellectuals and city dwellers. Khmer Rouge – intellectuals and city dwellers.
Engagement in total war to bolster support – Bush invaded Iraq in a war of choice and of questionable merit and was trying to invade Iran next.
Both movements have no problems killing and torturing people (See John Yoo and every other Republican apologist for torture).
I don’t have time to go on, but the comparison is valid to see similarities in both movements.
Tying two groups together, who appear to not have anything in common, is not as hard as I thought. Hmmm. Maybe IC and the rest of the birthbags are on to something….
The War of Choice was supported by 99.9% of the democrats. It is quite an extensive stretch to say we actively torture people.
However the Nationalist Socialist Movement of Germany and the Progressive Movement in American have much in common. I know the truth hurts, but deal with it.
However, the Cabbage Patch Kids Movement of the 1980s and the Conservative Movement in America have much in common. I know the truth hurts, but deal with it.
Pretty funny – an eccentric gay man from NE GA was the wizard behind the curtain.
