"the world is a comedy to those that think, a tragedy to those that feel" Horace Walpole

voice of her generation

While I much prefer her to the shrill harpies (Coulter, Malkin, Ingraham) that make up the public face of the GOP, the ubiquitous Meghan McCain is not to be confused with a person of substance.

“Does it sound campy to say I love gay men?” asks Meghan McCain, sipping an iced tea at the nouveau-chic Hotel Palomar in Washington, D.C.’s Dupont Circle. By gay people I mean flaming stereotypes that enjoy shopping as much as I do.

“My generation — we like our celebrities,” she said on Larry King Live. That’s not a good thing, Meghan.

I’m glad McCain’s daughter supports equality, but let’s examine what (likely) brought her to this conclusion:

Cool people like gays. Celebrities are cool. I’m cool. So cool I LOVE gay men.
