That Gov. Sanford is quite the honeydripper:
I could digress and say that you have the ability to give magnificent gentle kisses, or that I love your tan lines or that I love the curve of your hips, the erotic beauty of you holding yourself (or two magnificent parts of yourself) in the faded glow of the night’s light – but hey, that would be going into sexual details …
In the meantime please sleep soundly knowing that despite the best efforts of my head my heart cries out for you, your voice, your body, the touch of your lips, the touch of your finger tips and an even deeper connection to your soul.”

Unbefriggenlievable!
Is there no limit to the hypocrisy of fundamentalist Christian Republicans?
I thought it was mentally and physically impossible for a native of South Carolina to talk/write like that. I wonder if he wore a white linen suit and straw fedora while he was with his lover in Buenos Aires.
Very John Edwardsesque of him and he will wind up in the same place – a wasted nobody. Amazing to see someone who has so much waste it. He reminds me of other grin fuckers I have met in life.
When Clinton was getting BJ’s on Easter morning from a 21-year old intern (who he also asked to lie under oath – a felony) at the WH while his wife and child were getting ready for church it was just about sex and his private life. I hope statists will give Sanford the same respect they asked everyone to give of the Clinton’s, Chris Dodd’s & Dick Durbin’s corruption, Barney Frank’s close ties to Fannie and the prostitution ring run out of his condo, I could go on…
America loves a sex scandal and Barry should send a thank you note to Sanford – no Iran, N. Korea threatening to destroy America, no cap and tax and no seizure of the private health care system while this thing runs through the cycle.
Obviously the respect wasn’t given, or else you wouldn’t know so many details of the Clinton/Lewinsky relationship. You can’t salivate over the one (getting ready for church…dunno who put that timeline together, but wow, what a picture!) without acquiescing to the other….
I love how Republicans continue to whine about Bill Clinton’s philandering. Everyone knew he was a lifelong philanderer when he was elected the first time and we who voted for him voted for him anyway. Of course, Bill Clinton did not use “Christian family values” as a campaign (wedge) issue. Sanford et al did.
At any rate, the Lewinsky affair happened how many years ago–and how many so-called “family values” Republicans have been caught up in sex scandals, with members of the same and opposite sex, with minors, while married, with prostitutes–you name it. A couple of them were even among those who railed against Clinton with regard to his moral depravity vis-a-vis Lewinsky.
This kind of hypocrisy, again, is why liberal Catholics like myself do not take those on the religious right seriously when they start talking about issues pertaining top ethics and morals. It is pretty obvious that they don’t really believe the things they preach but, rather, use those tenets to manipulate those who might believe them for the purpose of maintaining power of one kind or another.
