I’ve been accused of obsessing over Palin, but she’s not just another governor. I’ll bet anyone $50 she’s the GOP nominee in 2012.
The base believes in her, and, barring a scandal, I don’t see anyone supplanting her as the Republican Republicans love most.
“I can’t overstate the impact she had down here,” Chambliss said during an interview Wednesday morning on Fox News.
“When she walks in a room, folks just explode,” he added. “And they really did pack the house everywhere we went. She’s a dynamic lady, a great administrator, and I think she’s got a great future in the Republican Party.”
Palin-Chambliss 2012? Commence shuddering.

*Shudder*
Jindhal is it – 4 years is a long time.
Jindal would be the smart choice, but Palin has the base under her spell.
Bobby Jindhal, Michael Steele, Tim Pawlenty and a few others may have a lot to say about that.
Remember Hillary was the obvious nominee a whole lot less than 3 years ago.
Palin-Chambliss 2012? Go for it, I dare you. Also, Chambliss trying to establish himself as the leader of the Republican Party is hilarious. His winning had everything to do with the fact that THERE IS NO STATEWIDE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IN GEORGIA. Also, the fact that Martin looks like a turtle didn’t help.
I’ll take the bet.
