Already sorted out 1990s nominees and the best of ‘91 and ‘92.
Four automatic entries: Goodfellas, Fargo, Unforgiven and the 1992 French classic Olivier, Olivier.
Six to go. Here’s 1993’s contenders: The Remains of the Day, True Romance, Short Cuts, This Boy’s Life, Schindler’s List and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?
Quick takes: Anthony Hopkins’ performance as the repressed butler in “Remains” may be the decade’s best; Leonardo DiCaprio was nearly as good in “This Boy’s Life”. Casting Tom Waits as Lily Tomlin’s boyfriend and Lili Taylor as her daughter in “Short Cuts” was inspired.
I suspect at least one of those flicks will land in the final 10. Oversights happen, so keep me honest.

Where is Casino?
I actually found a list which included Groundhog Day…ugh.
People who like that movie so much to put it into a Top 100 movie list also listen to David Hasselhoff on a free will basis.

Patience — I haven’t gotten to ‘95 yet, when Casino was released. Good movie, but it won’t be in my Top 10.
Bit of an off-year IMO. I enjoyed Trois couleurs: Bleu — my favorite of the Kieslowski trilogy.
