Just heard this on TV, and I’m heartened, sort of. McCain finally addressed the angry white men attending his rallies, saying there’s no reason to fear Barack Obama (though his commercials are somewhat contradictory). That he even had to say it is one thing, but the crowd’s reaction spoke (no) volumes.
“You could hear a pin drop,” said the reporter from the scene.
To be fair, who in our society has been more oppressed than old white guys?
