Well that was the most unimpressive VP debate in history. Biden came off as a tired old hack, while Palin played to the base. She quoted Reagan, blamed the media and left no platitude behind. Oh, and did you know she’s a maverick outsider who doesn’t play by Washington’s rules?
So far the focus groups seem to be favoring Palin. They don’t appear to be bothered by her agressive adorableness.
Hell, I’d prefer Bob Dole, even at his most sinister. Here’s Dole as hatchet man, debating Walter Mondale in 1976. This comment may have doomed Gerald Ford’s candidacy, but at least it wasn’t cutesy.
