A sampling of some of the comments left in an AJC guestbook commemorating Anna Nicole Smith:
My condolences go out to the family. At a time where she was grieving the most from the loss of her son Daniel and dealing with the battles that life had thrown at her she still stood strong. She was a great woman and one that had a heart of gold. Now she has no more worries because God will take good care of her. It is very sad to see such a great and humble person pass so early. Howard has been an instrumental part of Anna’s life. I pray that all works out for Baby Anna! My prayers are to all of you!

I can not say in words how deeply a stranger to me and her life has affected me. I felt your pain and anguish everytime I seen you since Daniel died. As the tears fall for you may you feel the warmth and sunshine of being with Daniel. And, may God lead your daughter to where she belongs. You will not only be remembered but you will be missed. God Bless You Anna, and give you peace.

You have shown so many people that you can achieve whatever it is you are looking for. You were strong with all that you had been through! I know your daughter will be just fine as I am sure you and her brother are watching over her. I will miss you! May God bless your family!

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

I wonder if Elton John is working on a new remake of “Candle in the Wind” — “Goodbye yellow rose … all the papers had to say, is that Anna, choked on her own vomit.”
